I started read around the world in 2025. Previously I had read plenty of books from around the world, but they tended to be from the same countries: UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Japan, France, Italy, Argentina, Poland.

I only read audiobooks, and that limits my selection (many countries don't have any audiobooks in English). I tend to read literary fiction, speculative fiction and classics, and I concentrate on women authors, especially in translation, because only the best books tend to get translated (I also participate in women in translation). I often choose books that have won awards or are by award winning authors, because these are more likely to be excellent reads, and they are more likely to be made into audiobooks.
