I’ve been told “it’s not a bad book, it’s just that you didn’t understand it” but honestly there’s nothing difficult to understand in this book. Difficult books are To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf or Finnegan’s Wake by James Joyce. The God of Small Things is not difficult, it’s just bad.
