I enjoyed this book about a close-knit mountain community. “Heartwarming” is the perfect description. The neighbours all look out for one another and everyone contributes in their own way. It is a glimpse at a simple and idyllic life where it is never too late to find happiness.
I didn’t rate it higher because, while it is an enjoyable book I didn’t find it particularly outstanding. I’m glad I read it but it’s definitely not one I will ever re-read. |
