I found it a bit difficult to get into this book for the first 50 pages or so, but I am so glad I stuck with it. It is a story that is heart warming, sad, and at times outrageously funny.
If asked what it is about I would say it is about the inhabitants of the city of Luanda, specifically those who contribute the most to a city’s character and yet are most often ignored by the city’s government.
