Very interesting book that is a pleasure the read. This is not about historical facts, but about historical lives. We all know about the Roman Empire, about the great battles, people and monuments. But we know little about the lives of the actual people that lived there. Those who did not do the great things, but just went about their lives, just like us. This is what this book is about, in a very easy to follow language. Where did they sleep, how were their homes, what did they eat, how did they socialize, what did they care about, what was their life like. Read and you'll find that they were just like us. We have better technology of course but other than that ... we are all the same, have pretty much same schedules, socials interests and priorities in our every day lives.
