A wonderfully descriptive journey of three siblings trying to take the body of their recently deceased father across war-torn Syria to fulfill his wishes of burial place. The problem is that it is basically just description without any emotion. That may be intentional to show that years of war and lost dreams have muted much of their emotions but it comes across as uninspired. There is no redeeming character, no lesson learned, no connection made of any kind. It did, however, illustrate the saying “let the dead bury the dead.”
