This is a great book for young adults. Four friends must face changing family dynamics and difficult situations while around them their community is also undergoing massive changes. The story was captivating, it definitely kept you turning pages, and the writing was very authentic. It lacked some nuances that could have been explored, but although I would have liked that, I think that would have moved it out of the YA category. Overall I would recommend this book.
