最开始看的时候以为是上个世纪五六十年代，看到途中以为八九十年代，结果快结局才发现是千禧年之后！
不了解阿拉伯地区历史的话，看本书可能有点打结，本书的主角男味挺重的，看到一半以为是反父权，结果是替父权报仇，但是这个结局确实没有料到，让这本书的叙事上来了，当然了里面的女性角色塑造并不很让人如意，里面还有几个角色塑造的还算有意思。
