This is a quick and interesting account of one man’s journey from Ghana to Spain in search of a better life. The last few pages had me smiling at the compassion shown to him, however the overall feeling of the book was somewhat dispassionate. I am wondering if some of the warmth and feeling got lost in translation.
It is worth reading as a factual and informative account that may help bring attention to some of the dangers and obstacles migrants face, but I would have preferred a deeper look at the thoughts and motivations behind the author’s actions.
