The author was born in what is now Bosnia-Herzegovina so I think this book should count for B-H, not Serbia.

I mostly prefer character driven books so this one wasn’t really for me. It’s hard to delve into characters when you have to go through 400 years of history. Additionally, I found this particular translation to be difficult. Not only were there numerous typos but it was written in a very polished English grammar, which just isn’t how people think and speak, so I found it difficult to get really immersed in the plotting.

"The Bridge Over the Drina" and "The Bridge on the Drina" refer to the same novel. The two titles are different translations of the same work by Ivo Andrić.
